Dutch Design Week 2019 | DDW19

a personal impression

This year my intention was to visit the Dutch Design week at least for 4 days… But I ended up just having the space and time for 1,5 day…. way to little time ofcourse.

I stilI managed to get to some very interesting designspots. I made an area | event plannig upfront. But unfortunatly missed a few great spots due to the 2,5 day less time I had. The great news is that there is a lot of inmormation to fond at the DDW webisite: www.ddw.nl/en

For an impression of what I spotted see below. I Posted al my finds at C-More Instagram and in my stories.

I focused mainly on interior color and material. But the overall trend and subject of de Dutch Design Week was sustainability.

There is no planet B…..

I was happy to see that this subject is now addressed by almost all designers and many brands.

Dutch Design Week 2019 | DDW19

Dit jaar was het mijn bedoeling om de Dutch Design week 4 dagen te bezoeken … Maar ik had maar 1,5 dag de ruimte en tijd …. veel te weinig natuurlijk.

Toch slaagde ik erin om een aantal zeer interessante designers en events te bezoeken. Ik had vooraf een indeling per dag op locatie, maar helaas heb ik daardoor nu wel vanwege de 2,5 dag minder tijd een paar geweldige plekken gemist. Het goede nieuws is dat er veel informatie te vinden is op de DDW-website: www.ddw.nl

Ik heb al mijn vondsten op C-More Instagram en in mijn insta stories gepost.

Zie hierboven voor een indruk.

 

Ik deel op insta vooral de interieur, kleur en materiaal inspiratie. Maar de algemene trend en het onderwerp van de Dutch Design Week was duurzaamheid.

Er is geen planeet B …..

 

Ik was blij te zien dat dit onderwerp nu door bijna alle ontwerpers en veel merken wordt behandeld.

Last week I visited the interior design fair IMM Cologne and Living Kitchen and spotted lots of trends. On my Instagram stories I shared the inspiring “Trend-atmospheres” created, styled and curated by the ultra talented Dutch stylist Floor Knapen and Designer/Creative Director of IMM Cologne Dick Spierenburg.

I loved the combination of textures, textiles and softness in pinks, nudes and neutral colors at ” The Romantic” platform.

Interieur design trends 2019

gespot tijdens IMM Keulen 2019

Vorige week bezocht ik de IMM Cologne en Living Kitchen beurzen en spotte weer een heleboel interieur en kleur trends.
Op mijn Instagram-stories deelde ik al inspirerende beelden van de ‘Trend-atmospheres’ die werden gemaakt, gestileerd en samengesteld door de zeer getalenteerde Nederlandse stylist Floor Knapen en ontwerper en creatief directeur van IMM, Dick Spierenburg.
Vooral de combinatie van texturen, textiel en zachtheid in roze, “nude” en neutrale kleuren op het “The Romantic” podium waren prachtig.

If you have the opportunity to visit Object Rotterdam this weekend: Please do! Luckily I was able to join the opening and took some pictures of the stunning work in its beautiful surrounding. Anne van der Zwaag director and curator of Object Rotterdam, handpicked the designers herself. She told us she visited the Design and Fashion academies to select a group of young, new and upcoming design students and combines their work with smaller interior, design, art, fashion, architectural brands. This combination of disciplines is what makes Object Rotterdam so unique.

This year the location is in the old HAKA building, that a few weeks before the opening didn’t even had electricity. Now, this casco building is the perfect blank canvas for the designers. And there even is a pop-up restaurant with delicious food and drinks.

Again, if you have the time, just go. You’ll love it.

Object Rotterdam 2018

Als je dit weekend de mogelijkheid hebt om Object Rotterdam te bezoeken: doe dat alsjeblieft! Gelukkig kon ik me aansluiten bij de opening en een paar foto’s van het verbluffende werk in zijn prachtige omgeving maken. Anne van der Zwaag curator en directeur van Object Rotterdam, heeft nagenoeg alle ontwerpers zelf uitgekozen. Ze vertelde ons dat ze de Design and Fashion academies bezocht om een groep jonge, nieuwe en aankomende ontwerpstudenten te selecteren en deze samen met het werk van kleinere interieur-, design-, kunst-, mode- en architecturale merken te presenteren. Deze combinatie van disciplines maakt Object Rotterdam zo uniek.

Dit jaar is de locatie het oude HAKA gebouw, dat enkele weken voor de opening niet eens elektriciteit had. Dit casco-gebouw is nu het perfecte lege doek voor de ontwerpen. En er is zelfs een pop-uprestaurant.

Nogmaals, als je de tijd hebt, ga gewoon. Je zult er geen spijt van krijgen.
